Description

Omics-LHV, West Nile

Experiment WCN003

The purpose of this West Nile experiment was to obtain samples for transcriptome analysis in mouse cortical neuron collections infected with wild type West Nile virus (WNV NY99 clone 382; WNVWT) and mutant West Nile virus (WNVE218A). This data set comprises two complete biological replicate experiments conducted in the same conditions and with data processed independently (WCN002 and WCN003).

Overall Design: Primary cortical neurons from C57Bl/6J mouse embryos (age E15) were infected with plasmid-derived wild type West Nile virus NY99 clone 382 (WNVWT) or plasmid-derived isogenic E218A mutant West Nile virus NY99 clone 382 (WNVE218A) in multiplicity of infection (MOI) of 250 in triplicate. Time matched mocks were collected in parallel using cell media concentrated through ultracentrifugation and diluted as virus. Time points used were: 1, 8, 12, and 24 hrs post infection (miRNA: 12 hrs only).

See Experiment WCN002 for corresponding independent biological replicate study.
