Description
Jeremy Zucker is a computational scientist in the department of computational biology at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He is a principal investigator for a variety of sponsors, including DARPA, DOE, and internally funded LDRDs. He uses machine learning-powered causal models — abstract and often complex mathematical representations of how the real world works — to allow us to better understand complex adaptive systems. His work has modeled everything from microbial cell factories to power grids, to climate models, to how vaccines work, to how infectious diseases spread.
