Kathy joined PNNL in September 2022, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the fields of Chemical Engineering and material science within the renewable energy sector. Her exposure to the extensive data science field during her chemical engineering endeavors inspired her transition into the field of data engineering.
Since joining PNNL, Kathy has been integral to various projects, focusing primarily on designing and maintaining the infrastructure required for efficient and reliable processing of large volumes of data. Collaborating with diverse teams, she ensures efficient data management processes, lending her expertise to optimize project performance. Her proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark enables her to construct scalable databases capable of facilitating Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
