Abstract

Enhanced TcO₄⁻ reduction by metallic Fe⁰ in the presence of particulate and structural Si. Rhythmical precipitation of dissolved iron leads to formation of layered structures related to geological phenomena such as orbicular rocks and Liesegang rings.
