Dr. Soumya Kundu is a Staff Research Engineer in the Optimization and Control Group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Soumya is primarily interested in solving complex engineering problems by applying tools from systems theory, control and optimization. His current research focus is towards the development of an integrated and distributed systems analysis and control framework to maintain the dynamic security and operational optimality of the future electrical grid, facilitating clean energy integration (e.g. renewable generation, electric vehicles), through smart utilization of distributed resources (e.g. controllable loads, energy storage).
