What this tool does…
- Provides a simple Excel template for collecting end‑to‑end inventory data on mechanical and electrical equipment, with a focus on thermal systems (e.g., RTUs, air handlers).
- Provides consistent BABA‑relevant fields including materials, manufacturing origin, costs, and transportation details.
- Works seamlessly with the Python “Bill of Materials to Input‑Output Inventory Converter” for fast, automated BOM parsing.
Why use it?
- Provides pathways for consistent, clearly structured data for BABA compliance.
- Eliminates ad‑hoc spreadsheets and reduces errors, missing metadata, and inconsistent units.
- Produces ready to analyze datasets for DOE programs, internal assessments, and supply chain studies.
How it’s used…
- Users either fill in the Excel template directly or load outputs from the Python converter.
- The tool then generates clean, consistent datasets that align with PNNL’s established end‑to‑end inventory framework.
- Provides outputs including BABA compliancy and cost specific evaluations.
